Abusive player. Ban please!

{Evidence deleted because of the no naming rule in these forums}

As you can see, this jerk called me gay because I lost and he insulted a large group of people. He should be banned for intolerance.

There is a rule against offensive language, and there is a rule against "naming and shaming."

You can disable chat or block players who offend you, and then report them to chess.com using the "Help & Support" link on the bottom of each chess.com page.

After you click on the Help and Support link, click on "Contact" in the upper right and send support a message about the offense.

But do not talk about the offense in the forums while using the person's name.

Blast! Forgot that rule!

yes, abusers have feelings too!

Too bad it is not practical to change that rule. Then we could all pre-block some of the jerks.

Avatar of dmxn2k

You don't need to pre-block. If the person is a repeat offender and everyone reports him, he will be removed from the site....

@Professor' actually they don't. It's been chronologically proven....

So... you gonna edit the name out or make more work for the mods?

Avatar of FES314

Professor, I guess you're joking, but I hope people realize that the reason for the "no naming" rule has nothing to do with protecting the feelings of real abusers.  Sometimes accusations are false, which damage the reputation of the falsely accused, even if the accusation is later refuted.
