Add articles/blog as favourites.

Hi

Chess.com is a great site. There is so much information and great articles on chess out here and they keep growing day by day. There are some articles and games that I really love and I would like to add/tag them as my favourites. In this way I can easily go back to my personal favourites and read them again instead of digging thru the entire list of articles. In this way I can also share my favourites with my friends. Is it possible to include that feature in chess.com or does that option exists right now which I fail to see?

I would love to have that feature built into this site. Does any one else feel the same?

Yes, it seems this is not a feature on the site. However there are some things similar to this. If you click on members---> "Blogs" then you can see the "top bloggers" and "most read blogs", also if you see one blogger you like, you can visit their homepage and then click "track user" and you will be notified when they post more material. Also there are some tools for the articles too. If you visit the chess articles page you can see the most read articles and once again if you see one particular user that you would like to be updated of their material you can "track user" and be notified when they post more material.

Although the suggested features that you stated do seem useful and maybe in the future the Chess.com programmers will consider this. I hope my information had helped you!

yeah, I like it, if chess.com staff can provide some features like this its more fun and learning at the same time.

Matt - Thanks for your suggestion. Smile I have noticed the features that you have mentioned and they are really useful. But what i am looking for is a way to bookmark the articles I like so that I can come back and read them from my repository instead of searching the entire article list.

I am not sure how easy it is to implement it technically but it would be a great and useful feature.

that is a great suggestion. in the meantime, i would recommend using your browser bookmarks or something like del.icio.us!

Thanks Eric. Yeah. I am using del.icio.us right now to keep track of my favourite articles.

I tried to install del.icio.us but when I try to open the del.icio.us_1.2.1-fx.xpi file, Firefox asks me what it should do with this file??
