I have a Xoom tablet and HTC EVO phone and there are problems with the chess app on both devices.
Cannot accept a challenge
Cannot resign a game
Cannot start a new game
These three things not working requires logging into the website to accomplish. I reported this about a month ago and the problem still exists after about three app updates.
