Announcement in tournaments

Hi there,

As a TD you've got the option to broadcast announcements like this:

Two questions:

1. I assume the announcement will be broadcast only to the participants of this tournament, not to all chess.com players. Am I right?
2. What's the difference between sending the announcement to all or only to active players? In my understanding all participants of a tournament are considered to be active. So what's the difference between those options?

I've browsed the FAQs but didn't find an answer. Maybe someone could enlighten me.

Yes, the announcement would only go to players that are in the tournament. Active players would be those that haven't withdrawn, and maybe not those eliminated, but I'm not certain on the latter.
