Annoying pop-up

Where does the 'Begin your quest for valuable jewels' come from. Every time I open the chess.com  page this annoying pop-up pops up. Does this happen to anyone else? It is something to do with Facebook. How can I stop it!

It might be the Meebo chat bar at the bottom of your page.  Unfortunately the premium membership's no-advertisement incentive doesn't apply to Meebo as it is a third-party tool.  For this reason, though, you have the ability to disable it:

http://www.chess.com/home/privacy.html

At the bottom of the page under the header "Chat Bar".

Thank you TheGrobe for your interest. Your suggestion has worked, so now I do not have to begin looking for any of those cussed jewels!!

That's one of my biggest issues with Chess.com is the massive amount of ads on this site. I recently downloaded Firefox and got the adblocker plus addon, and now I don't get any of those annoying pop ups, Chess.com or Meebo related! it's awesome, and I don't have to pay for a premium chess membership that I don't need!

Adblocker plus for Firefox is an outstanding utility, but there is much more that comes with a premium membership than just getting rid of the advertisements.  In my opinion it is still well worth the price of admission.

Yes Brian, I have had the distinct displeasure of having my concentration interrupted by these pop-ups. Thanks Thegrobe when it happens again it will be zapped!
