The reason this is important to establish is because if it is considered against chess.com TOS, then I’ll report it when I see it. If not, then I won’t report. I don’t want to bog staff down with extra unnecessary reports.

Well, right now Israel is doing everything to enable a state "from the river to the sea". Maybe we start with banning people who agree with that?

Back to the point. Did my two opponents violate the TOS? Seems like a temp mute is a weak stance. A temp mute may have been fitting on the day of the event. Staff is responding by not responding? Mods must have seen this thread and asked staff what action is required, if any by now?

Fat shaming is not allowed these days but this behavior is okay? Still waiting for staff & mods to respond to my initial inquiry/ report or this thread.

It really is crazy that no mods or staff have commented here yet. This is a legitimate question which needs an answer one way or the other.

That phrase is so much more controversial and offensive than other words and phrases that are allowed it seems to me you don't need chess.com to answer the question. I would say just use your own good sense. I have never used that phrase because even if it's allowed, it's going to unnecessarily cause some people to be highly offended.

Well, I’d obviously never use the phrase. The question is, should we report it to chess.com when we see other people use it?

I had problems with some idiot users in the past, I solved by blocking the chat.

i honestly used to try to have a neutral opinion in this conflict, but seeing this i think i now want to take the side of Israel.

Why because of someone else's actions? That's like blaming the victim rather than the evil doer, oh that sounds familiar. I get it now.

If a site has rules regarding this topic, then those rules should be enforced. It may take a while based on the number of staff assigned to this, as well as the shear volume of reports. If you believe that the ToS has been violated, then take action.

@DanDuryea has negative comments everywhere. Do you have anything positive or constructive to add to this Forum topic? A user simply asked for assistance and advice. Is that too much for you to walk away from?

everyone should be able to play chess without being harassed due to their ethnicity, race, religion, gender, etc - including Jewish people
