Yes. The developers might, if you let them know about it by using the report problems link in settings.

I have the same problem the app quit right when i try to watch a game, i tried to re install but no luck

It's in settings in the Android app. I believe it's the same for iOS.
In the Android, it just sends an email to support@chess.com and includes info on the app release version, the device and OS you are using and your chess.com username.

The website also has the issue, which is why it doesn't work on the apps.
On the website you can change the type of game to get games to watch.
Staff are aware of the issue.
Same issue, keeps crashing
