App keeps disconnecting even though I have service

Recently when solving puzzles to app began to malfunction after every puzzle. After solving a single puzzle the connection times out. The main app screen also states I am in offline mode. All other apps on my phone seem to be functioning normally. Daily games also take a while to load moves, although they aren't as frustrating to deal with as the puzzles. See attached screenshots.

App timed out while I clearly have service. 

I have cleared the data and cash and reinstalled the app, but the problem persists. 

Is this a glitch in the app? 

This started happening with me today after I did an update of the app on android.

There was a site related issue earlier that should be fixed. Are you still seeing issues?
