It was answered, they have given membership to inactive accounts with active email address to try and get members back.

I believe I’ve heard of a glitch on chess.com where some people got muted for no reason so chess.com gifted them

I know my other account never got used within a year And out of nowhere, and I am still wondering why I got it. Good question.

There can be multiple reasons, such as being gifted by someone.
