auto-resign not working

Happened to me as well, however I waited 3 minutes for the game to be complete but it also took another 5 minutes to register/go through?
Also waiting atm.. Auto-resign message sitting on 0:00 for 5 mins already. Let's see what happens once my opponent's time runs out...
Auto resign not working for the last few days since the update

It is 2023 and people, including me, still encounter this issue from 2015...
It's a shame...
Auto-resign still patchy for me, sitting having to wait for 8 minutes after opponent just disconnected... Annoying.
Repeatedly waiting up to 5 minutes for game to end- opponent has not played in this time????
this is the one most frustrating thing about chess.com and still not been fixed in over 5 years of threads on this!
guys its fixed right now, after some time it will show that you won the game

A player can spend as much time as is on the clock after move 10 as long as they are connected.

If this happened on Friday, then there was a bug where some games ended in the server did not get reflected in the client. That got fixed and the have results should have been written to the archive. 30 minutes would not have been spent on the move.

Do you have a link to the game? It sounds like a connection issue where your client never reconnected; for a 10|0 game, there's no way 30 minutes for a move was possible as the server wouldn't allow it.
Another game where auto-resign for my opponent isn't working. I'm sitting watching their clock tick tick tick down, even though the auto-resign should've timed them about ages ago 😴
