I think you've got the point of what the 5 is, as I also have.
My guess is "/2" stands for the two people (you and me) who don't know what the meaning of the expression 5/2 is
The 2 is the time increment after each move. So you get 5 minutes at the start and after every move you get a 2 second increment.
