Hm, any news on this? I started using premium today and I'm having the same issue.
Board size differences live chess basic and premium
Sort:
Show and hide the chat window can not be the best solution, why not have the game tab that we have in the basic version.
This still does not work. My board is still tiny! Errrgghhh

jacklee, try going into your settings page (main page not the one in live premium)
http://www.chess.com/home/livechess_settings.html
Change the board size to what you want it to be, then save settings.
Then go into live chess.
If you're still having problems, let me know what size board it is you're trying to get and which browser and version you're using so i can try and replicate this to see where the problem is.
Done that...to no avail. It is still stuck on a small board on the premium thingy.
I am using firefox and am trying to get maximun.

Oh , yeah, however, that only works when firefox is on 'full scree mode' ie F11

I don't have mine on F11, the slider works fine on normal view. It may not if you've been trying to resize the page using Ctrl + though. You'd need to clear your cache, refresh live chess, then just use either main page settings or the slider.
Resizing the page using zoom messes with the view in live premium
Also, I think the chat thing should be on the right hand side. Who thought it would be a good idea to put it under the board where it would actually mess things up...???!

Not everyone has a monitor wide enough to accomodate game - chat - main chatroom all side by side.
Notice the difference between live premium and live back, and the sizes of the windows/frames in there.

I always play live chess with the basic feature. The board occupies much more space. Honestly, it is much more confortable. It's a pity, but this is as I experience it

What desktop resolution sizes do you have? I use a 1920x1080 resolution, and in my screen there is NO wasted space - just a huge board! Pdela, can you show me a screenshot of you live chess premium experience?

I agree with that.
And yes, F11 works but how fun is that, feels like an emergency solution.

In fact is far better now that some time ago, let me a bit of time to get the screenshots
