Board spawned with back rank pieces completely randomized (mess)

I was playing daily chess and found a match, but when I started the game it was a mess, the back rank pieces were just randomized, the pawns were not touched. I believed it was a bug, then I looked at his profile and all his games had that set up. Is it a bug?hack? I don't know. D:
