Also how to post a new topic in the forum, been searching for it for quite a while already and still no luck.
You didn't place because you were no longer in the tourney. To place you have to stay in the tourney through the last round. The -- before your name shows you either withdrew or were kicked from the tourney.
As to posting a new topic, new members are limited in where they can post for a short time after joining to limit spamming.

Support have got back to me and acknowledged there is a bug and the developers are working on getting these issues corrected. Unfortunately it may not be possible to change my tournament result but they're looking into it but I'm not expecting a positive result. It should prevent it happening in future tournaments though.

I won my group and was due to play the winner of the other group however he was banned for cheating sometime ago. In fact I couldn't play anyone in that group as they were all banned for cheating or closed their own account. Only 1 person from each group advanced to play a final for the tournament title.
However I was only awarded 2nd place and the person banned for cheating in the other group was granted 1st I suspect because he had a higher tiebreak score (we both scored 7 in our groups). This is irrelevant as I should be playing him for the title as he won his group and would advance to play me if he wasn't banned.
I should've won the tournament and my opponent in the last game to finish (FearNoEvil) 2nd. If it's no longer possible to correct the result that's fine and I accept that however the bug needs to be fixed for future tournaments.
