Sure it's possible, but no matter when you start it is unlikely you will be a professional chess player. I'm not saying you shouldn't try, but don't count on it.

Hiii I'm Priyal frm India..I'm 18 n m a beginner jst started out in chess....nd I want 2 bcum a regular tournament player....nd make chess as my profession...I'm very hard working guy...Will I succeed..???....coz I saw ol chess champions started chess at a very early age...so is it possible 2 bcum champion starting out dis late....???
