Cannot access Live chess

Hello, Staff of Chess.com.,

Just a few minutes ago, I tried to log in to Live Chess. but all I received was a blank screen with a  small rectangle box in the centre,which said:-

The page at live chess.com, says:

Abstract item not implemented (zb07c7)

Prevent this page from creating additional dialogs

Could the Staff or anyone who are aware of this situation, please explain??

Have you tried the obvious:

-reloading the webpage?

-closing out your browser and returning?

-rebooting your PC?

-clearing your cookies/cache and retrying?

After trying that without success, possibly your browser settings are causing a problem. 

You could confirm that by changing browsers (what appear to work on this site are:  Microsoft I.E., Mozilla Firefox, and Google Chrome).  If that approach resolves the issue, I suspect you need to adjust your regular browser's settings.

Thanks. For some time already, I have installed Google Chrome. I have no problem with Online chess.

How do I go about reloading the webpage. I am  a green horn at computers, Thanks for your help.

There should be a 'reload' icon visible on your browser's top or near the top bar.  With I.E. it is a pair of green arrows pointing in a counter-clockwise direction.

Sorry, I dont see it. Is it nVIDIA (green color) ??

Do I have to go to Internet Explorer ??, to do the reload ??

Thanks a bunch. Went to Internet Explorer and saw the blue arrows. Click on Google chrome, then went to install again. It works. Now I can play on Live chess. You  are one in a million. I could not say the same to Staff of chess .com. No response from them. It makes me regret being a Platinum member just barely 10 days ago. God Bless you and your family.

The staff allow experienced (and not so experienced) members to try to handle routine issues of this character, so as to provide a prompt response (I notice your issue's been cleared up in less than three hours) while freeing up their time for more urgent matters (such as 'policing' the site for abuses that upset members, handling membership payment matters, etc.).

I'm confident if your problem remained unsolved much longer, a staff member would have stepped in to assist you.

In my experience, staff is very quick and helpful, maybe in your case they were extraordinarily busy with something.

If a regular refresh doesn't work, try a hard refresh: ctrl + f5 in most browsers. And clean your cookies and temp files regularly. Plus, make sure you have your java up to date.

Ugh(java)!  I've yet to need to use java I think on this site, seems the only time that's a problem is when I try to 'play the computer'.

Being not so keen to add yet more software to my PC, I'm postponing the 'java' experience until I see it being actually necessary.

Live chess works with java too, no?

I don't know (not a programmer).  I only know when I try to use this site's "play the computer", I encounter a message stating I need to load/enable "Java".
