We could all just revert to animated gifs:

I'm not sworn to secrecy. Just use a preview of a blog post and cut and paste the embedding code from there (and since video embeds still work on blog posts, it makes it pretty unlikely this is a YouTube issue and no changes have taken place on chess.com ;)...).
<iframe width="640" height="360" src="//www.youtube-nocookie.com/embed/GeIAXlwVlZc?feature=player_embedded" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Nope.
Is that the preview from the blog post ??
I have'nt tried it yet.
Yes, that's preview from blog post. As you said it works in the blog, but copy and paste doesn't make it work here.

You need to post the blog (or at a minimum, save and preview), and then copy/paste the result.

I saved/previewed it.
I both copied the content itself (just select all + copy) and used right click copy embed code.
No code, you need to use the youtube link on the Blog post interface and paste the URL of the youtube video in.

Yeah, that's what I did.
It appears in the blog fine, the problem is it wont appear in this topic.
OK, one thing I found was that the actual cut/paste was difficult unless I put a character both before and after the video. This way, if I had both characters selected I knew I also had the video selected.
You are also cutting and pasting out of the previewed content, yes? Not out of the text entry pane?

Yeah.
I'm using firefox. What are you using?
