The Game Archive includes My Games; Explore Games; Games Database; Library; Saved Analysis.

The games in My Games are not deletable. However, the games in Saved Analysis are deletable.  Make sure to run the Analysis on every game you play and save it. Then you can decide later which games to delete or keep. Access those games via Saved Analysis.

What's the advantage of analysing every game and saving it?

Some people here would like to keep their games which included a Brilliant move, because it's difficult to find those games later by searching. That's just one example. There may be other reasons.

I have the same problem too, I press the "add to library button" and I get the "Oops. Looks like there was an error. Sorry! Please refresh". This started happening a couple of days ago. Applies to the android and the windows versions of Chrome, in my case. Clearing cache & cookies did not help.

Sure,  I can see how you would want to save just certain games in a  collection, but I'm sure of the benefit of saving all of them. Martin mentioned above that all games are saved in your archive anyway.

Martin_Stahl

There's currently not a way to find brilliant moves in the archives, so a lot of people put those games in a collection to find them easily.

TheTruePoet

chesscom proööy too busy counting money and doing anoying and screaming commentary....

acepoint

Same here, no chance to add games to a collection, to rename it or to create a new one. Every time the same meaningless error message...

The archive can be sorted but not searched. You can sort by Result, Opponent name, Opponent title, Openings, Color, Match type, Date range, and Rating range. However, you can't search for Brilliant move or number of moves, for example. You can search number of moves in the Games Database for rated players only. Saving specific games to the Library would get around the limitations of the Games database and Saved Analysis. I've requested help from Support and the email reply said:

I sent an email to chess.com regarding this two days ago, no response yet.

Martin_Stahl

It should be fixed soon.

mwrr23

Thanks for fixing happy.png

There's a feature in the Library which is broken. After adding a game to the Library you can edit that game to add a game title. After Save, when the Edit box is opened again the game title is missing. Can this be fixed, please?
