can't delete friend

I wanted to remove a friend but when I tried it just didn’t go from my friend list, I tried with my other friends and they were removed from my friend list, So you can remove some but not others…?

So this is a years-old bug, and it's not being dealt with? I'm having this same issue, accidentally accepted a friend request I thought was a challenge, immediately am not able to unfriend, remove from friendslist, block or anything.
I'm having the same problem.
I removed a friend but they still appear in my friends list. I went as far as blocking them but it's still there

This should be an easy fix but they are ignoring it. So I'm forced to look at my ex's profile and everyone has people they don't want to have access to them remaining as a friend with that access.
This issue still persist i have a user in my friend list that cant be remove no matter how times i clicked remove friend if you try this on the app its still the same aswell as the website
I have the same issue. I’ve tried to remove friends on the iOS app and desktop browser, nothing works. After pressing “remove friend” and confirming, nothing changes in my friend list. Blocking also doesn’t change anything
Same issue, I've blocked, reported, unfriended but still they remain. What a ridiculous and unsafe bug.

This post was opened in August of 2023. It is January of 2025. The unfriend button/feature still doesn't work. Don't think this is an issue that is going to be fixed. In the meantime, if anyone knows high rank players or streamers accounts, send them friend requests. I'm sure it'll be great fun if one of them accidentally accepts.

Can confirm bug, how can we report? I want either an option to "Not show" the friends list in the home page, or get the "can't delete friend" bug fixed.

Staff are aware of the bug
This bug still persists, it seems.
How is this acceptable? Surely one of the main security controls on the platform is that you can use friend status as a means to control who can send messages? But apparently you can't, because once someone is on the list they're there permanently? WTH?
If you're unable to remove someone, it's a bug
