Can't make a move using Millennium Supreme 55 board

I have a Millennium Supreme 55 electronic chess board paired with an old Samsung Galaxy 4 tablet. I have the latest Chess.com application installed and the board paired with the tablet and connected in the settings of the Chess.com app. However, when I make the first move it doesn't register in the app. I have no such problem when using the ChessLink app and playing on LiChess. Any ideas why the moves might not be registering?
