Can't move in a game.

Is there a yellow outline around the square where you just moved your piece, then does it freeze? If so, this happened to me and is still occurring.

Dr Frank even if there is a problem with the site it may not be a problem for everyone it may only be a problem with one type of OS and/or browser. Besides, the fact that you aren't having problems may only indicate you weren't trying to do whatever someone else was having a problem with (one of their games, the Tactics Trainer, a blog, etc)

If it a problem with my computer why is it limited to just the chess website and why are so many other people having the same problem?

I can't move my pieces, it was working yesterday just fine.

I am glad to know it's not only me... I have now found that I have to:

Open the board

Focus on the piece I want to move (click until the yellow outline is on the square)

Then click on the square where I want the piece to go

The focus on the piece isn't consistent... Often I have to click the piece 2 or 3 times to get it highlighted.

I have tried it in both Chrome (my default Chess.com browser) and in Firefox, just to make sure that there wasn't something hinky in my browser.

Not a really effective change, IMHO

If you download the chess.com app (free) it will work.

Chess.com support advice is to give up safari on i-phone and download the app instead. Safari is not a supported browser :(
