For me, I just load up chess.com on my laptop and it just won't work. It will actually work partially, like I can play the bots and do daily/weekly games and puzzles, but whenever I try to play a standard game, like 5 or 10 minutes, it just says that it's taking longer than usual to connect, and it will sit like that for hours. literally. I have left my laptop on over night to find a match and when I woke up nothing had changed at all. All of the other devices in my home work with chess.com just fine, but it doesn't matter what internet I'm connected to, I can't play a standard game on my laptop, which is really annoying because it's my primary device. I also have the same problem with lichess.org, and basically every other major chess platform. For some reason, my laptop just hates chess. Any ideas on how to fix?

What is your browser and browser version?
Have you tried with a private/incognito window?
I have been waiting to play a game on my laptop but nothing will let me play. I press play but instead of putting me into the next to play it just wont load. Puzzles will work but i cant play real people

Yes, but fully updated can depend on some things (some OS versions may no longer receive updates)
Do you have any extensions installed?
Many however it randomly started working again and then stopped this morning. This is a school laptop so any extensions on it cant be removed.

It's possible that your issue is being caused by one of those or something your school is causing.

Also my laptop is my personal one, ironically I actually can use chesscom and everything else to its full extent on my school computer.
It works sometimes and not others and i dont understand it
