I have used the above link to contact you but here is what I get from you.

I only have one account associated with the email. How cannot you find any thing?

"I checked the account "dengliu" associated with the email you are writing us from and did not find any paid membership there. Do you recall having any other account apart from this one? If yes, could you please provide me the username and the email associated with that account so that I can locate it in our system and help you out with it?"

Then the charge you saw must be associated with a different account/email. The purchase gets directly tied to the account and there apparently is no purchase associated with this username/email

I got charged for a full year of the premium membership, even though I cancelled within a week. I signed up for the free membership after 12 AM Saturday, and on the next Friday when I went to cancel it, it said that I already renewed it? I guess they moved the time zone for the transaction to somewhere else to give me only six days without me realizing it. Anyways, can I get a refund for this please, I was under the impression that I would have a week... for a free trial that says it is for a week.

I was just charged $119.99 for the diamond membership when all I signed up for was a 7 day free trial. And just to clarify the signing up for the free trial and charge to my account happened on the same day. I have already filed for a refund, but I need this process to be faster. This is really disappointing to see and I don't know how such a mistake can even be made.

I want to say it's your fault honestly, since you could cancel it when the free trial started. The chances of them refunding you is high though, so just wait patiently and don't make the same mistake again (which you probably won't because free trial is only a one-time thing)

The charge was made to my account the second I signed up for the free trial, I don't see how that could possibly be my fault. I immediately canceled it. This all happened today.

That shouldn't be happening...

But messaging in this forum is useless as most of these guys don't even message in this forum anymore.

You could have went with the monthly option instead of the yearly one tho. Don't know about those.

Hello @LiquidStorm , I sincerely apologize for the delay! I have now issued a full refund and cancellation as you have asked for. Please note that the refunded amount can take up to 3 days to be reflected in your account balance. Cheers!

I also had this problem. I clicked on the free trial that it had offered me and it charged me. I had used a previous free trial and I thought it was offering me again and once I did it i has gotten charged but didnt realize it. The payment is still pending though. First time actually paying for a chess.com membership just incase its important for a 30 day money back gurantee.

I did but i fear it might take too long

What is completely beyond me, is how some people in this post defend this predatory business practice of charging reoccurring 100$ bills on INACTIVE accounts that signed up for a free trial.
Just got charged 94 euros, for a service I no longer use, where is my refund?

You'll need to open a ticket with support for a refund.
