chess.com keeps placing me against lower players

I'm rated around 1015-1050, and they keep placing me against people 850-900. I'm not a new account, and I've been playing for years so idk the deal, it's very aggravating because I gain nothing from it, if I win it's like +2 , and if I make one blunder it's -16. Very unfun and if it keeps happening I'm creating a new account I'm really tired of it.
