About a month ago player [removed -- MS] admitted cheating in a chat message to me. The player has a 400 ELO and is playing at a level that would make Magnus proud.
I’ve reported the player but chess.com has not taken any action. I don’t know why they wouldn’t do this except perhaps the player is either an employee of chess.com or is related to an employee.
I’ve lost my faith in chess.com. I used to care about games and try to play well. I no longer care. If they won’t sanction admitted cheaters, the entire platform is corrupt.
I really feel like chess.com Should refund all my monthly charges.

Someone saying they were cheating doesn't mean they were cheating. If you reported the member and the account wasn't closed then either

  • There was insufficient evidence of cheating
  • There was no evidence of cheating

At the mentioned rating level, the latter is most likely.

Public reports/accusations are not allowed. In addition, discussions of cheating, potential, cheating, or cheat detection are not allowed in the general forums.
