I don't know what it is but each time I play in a tournament, my connection gets all wacky. I frequently play normal rated bullet games and they all work completely fine. But as soon I play in a tournament, my moves take ages to register, I could pre-move smn and it'd still take seconds away, I keep losing on time because of this and have been unable to play in tournaments because of this. This has been happening ever since I switched rooms and wifi networks while in a tournament.
Tournament games are currently hosted on the main site Live server in the US. Games in the random pools are all over the world and you connect to different ones depending on your opponents. It's very possible that you experience a lot more lag between your location an the US than you will on regular games.
You can check out the following article to minimize issues, but it's very possible there is lag being introduced between you and the site server hosting tournaments.
