Hi, I noticed that my battery life on my iOS devices is poor when I use the chess.com app so I checked a battery usage monitoring app and sure enough, the chess.com app uses a tremendous amount of power while running and continues to do so even when the app is closed. Could you verify this behavior? It seems that the app continues to check for updates after closing the app without asking for permission to run in the background. There are a number of apps that do this including Facebook and Flipboard.
