Nope, I couldn't find a solution unfortunately. Ended up returning the Surface anyway. A real shame...
I just bought surface pro last night and am having the same issue. Did anyone figure this out?

Just wondering what people's experience has been like using chess.com on a Surface. I'm having trouble moving pieces in Online chess. Oddly this is limited to when I'm taking an opponents piece - although I can select my piece without a problem, when I select the square of the piece I'm taking it selects the opponents piece instead. Anyone else with a similar issue?
