Yes. People that you've friended on Chess.com will appear in your "Friend" list. Right click on their name and select "Challenge".

I understand you can challenge them. But a friend mentioned they only like to play the 10-minute fast game. Is that possible, or does it have to be a minimum of 24 hours?

EDIT: Yes, 24 hours is the minimum for Online Chess (Turn-based or correpondence, however you wish to call it) but 1 minute is the minimum in Live Chess.
