Isn't the submit button enough of a safety? I find it hard to believe that you can make a move and then accidentally hit "submit" very often.
How often does this really happen?
I thought perhaps you might be one of these people somehow managing 3,000 games at a time (so I could understand you getting confused from time to time) but I see that you have only played 43 total games here over many years.

There are many cases of players accidentally, inadvertently, mistakenly clicking the "Submit" move button.
I would like to offer a suggestion that would go a long way toward eliminating this type of mistake.
In the "Settings" page/area, under the "Move Preferences" section, there are currently two checkboxes, one of which allows a choice of using the "Submit" button for making a move. I suggest to add a third option checkbox, which if checked/selected would cause a window to pop up after the "Submit" button is clicked, which asks whether you really want to "Submit" the move. The purpose of this option would be to provide a "warning" and allow the player to cancel the "Submit" operation if desired.
The pop-up window could say something like "Do you REALLY want to SUBMIT this move?". The player would be given the choice to click Yes or No in response. If "Yes" the move is submitted; if "No" the move is canceled.
If one does not want to use this additional warning, then simply leave this option (which could be labeled "Submit Move Warning" or "Confirm Submit Move") un-selected on the "Settings" page, and the warning would not be activated when clicking the "Submit" button.
Here are the two submit move options currently available on the "Settings" page:
