Since that is a newer setting, which you use is probably dependent on you connection. If you aren't having problems with Live connections then you are probably fine keeping the default.
Thanks, I had looked up the terms and saw those pages but I don't understand why my setting would have long polling. Perhaps that is the default but based on what I read, websockets are preferred.
You're right. Web sockets are a lot more standard and established and are pretty much guaranteed to work with any browser or web app.
We are offered a choice between secure long polling and secure websockets. Can someone explain the difference and when it might be appropriate to choose one over the other?
