Is there something more to your original question than what I'm reading?

i mean : are all all players so experienced that they think that 30 mins are enough for their moves??

I think 30 minutes is a good amount of time for a chess game. Why, what do you think is the best time limit?

40 or 50 ! in order to have in every move full understanding of the board!!

haha !!! i think 15 is rather short to think every move!! are you sometimes ''blindplaying''? :-p

when your connectionis bad and the game stops you lose the game and the points?

I guess you'll be surprised to find out that many people play 1 minute games.

i think this is not chess!

You're right. It's called bullet.

I agree with you Kapilaw. Chess games plaid "in a hurry" is no chess at all. Rea goodl chess is a "thinking" game and, to think well and right you need some time.

Those 30-min games, as well as the so called "blitz" games aroused from the facilities offered by cybernetics regarding celerity of response..

I think that those types of games are mere "ping ball machine games".

I like 30 minute games.

Sometimes, I get dinner at a fast food restaurant: I'm in and out in 20 minutes, with food that is not so memorable but my hunger is satisfied. Other times, I tarry for 2 hours at a fine restaurant, savoring every forkful and each sip of wine. Again, my hunger is satisfied, more than likely with a longer lasting memory of the affair.

Time controls for chess games are much the same for many of us, I'm guessing. Wink

I like 20mins each games. I can play min games as well but occasionally i find time a problem in the end game so the extra 5 minutes takes the pressure off. 15 2 is also good.

I'm no grand master but candidate moves can usually be found from general princples and then they can be analysed with enough time. Trying to analyse too much is a bit useless in early, mid game because it is hard to predict what the opponent will do in subsequent moves.

Try learn some general princples. A few i use are:

Develop all pieces and get connected rooks on your back rank.

Avoid doubled or isolated pawns, try create them for your opponent then attack them.

First bishop > Knight > Second Bishop

Create an outpost for Knight(s) which can't be attacked by pawns
