I agree.  I have lost most of my games due to disconnect.  I was winning.  Is there a way to look at the game when it got disconnected to determine who was winning should win.

mersbonaparte

played 14 games total--8 disconnects

Yes, we are working on improving the disconnection problems and also a system where you can resume disconnected games so that you are not automatically forfeited upon disconnection.

That would be great.  I can go back and look at my history of games of losses and see that I was in the lead or in control on the board.  I am sure a moderator could do the same.

Actually, this isnt what we will be doing, a system like that just takes too much time. BUT, with the new Live Chess, if you disconnect, the game will wait for you to re-connect so that the game wont be ended right away.

This is a better system -- address the root cause, not the symptoms.

In Live Chess 2 (at www.chess.com/live) games that are disconnected are resumed once the other person returns. (If they return within the time limit!)
