Does anyone know some chess websites that actually work, unlike chess.com?

And their policy is to throw a bunch of BS at those members when they complain: tell them its their ISP, tell them they are working on it, send a graphic that "proves" there is not problem with their application, tell them they are considering "radical changes," tell them to clear their cookies.
So, non-paying members generate A LOT of revenue for chess.com becuase we are the audience for their advertisements. So this is really a slap in the face.
Also, there is no doubt whatsoever that this is happening. One of the reps basically inadvertantly admitted this to me. This arose when they tried to bribe me with a temporarly diamond membership. When I told him that the application again stopped working (causing me to get booted from really good games in the middle of the game) once that temporary membership expired, he declared that that really tells them a lot and now they can fix the problem.
So, the question I have is are there any other sites that do what chess.com once did ... offer cool settings for games? Chess.com formerly was the ONLY site for online chess in my opinion. Now, it is just worthless. Looking for tips on where to go.

Premium members get the freezing pages too, it's not directed only at non-premium members...
It sounds like they granted you temporary diamond membership for a limited period, and you did not experience the app freezing then. When you went back to non-premium status, the app started freezing again. It sounds more like a bug in their premium-level authentication code than it does a conspiracy to disconnect us non-paying members. It seems probable to me that the rep was being genuine when they told you your feedback regarding freezing after expiration of diamond membership was helpful. I sense your frustration, but every now and then the world isn't out to get you.
in my experience, the app sometimes freezes, more often it's what carlsen described yesterday, like the pieces being stuck to a square so you have to attempt to move them a few times. in bullet, that costs precious seconds. it's very hard to get into a rhythm, and you are concentrating more on physically moving the pieces to the squares you want than to what is going on on the board. but i don't know of any free sites that are better, i assume they all face challenges in getting their apps to work right, and chess.com keeps expanding its membership so more demand on the servers.
I would prefer pay-only with zero advertising.

Not a very intelligent comment. Every now and again, your need to spew criticism based on no facts and just what you feel the need to spew are NOT a reflection of who YOU are. But this is not one of those cases. You would benefit in life by making some attempt at trying not to be a douc__.
