draw alerts

I missed two draw offers because no alert box comes up notifying you, only some writing at the top and an e-mail.  Why don't they alert you like they do for other things?

I've just have to admit that hunting for anything remotely related to a "Draw" at this site is like rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic! Don't get me wrong, I've read "labpi's" posts and he is quite correct.

The problem from what data I've seen is this: Everyone giving assistance thinks like a simple answer is some monumental move in chess. The K-I-S-S principle people. Let's keep it simple.

How does one offer a draw? Normally there is a "white flag" icon on the lower right side of your screen, just below the "Submit Move" button. When requesting a draw from your opponent one merely--when it's your move--press the icon button and a message should pop-up on your screen "You have a pending draw offer."

This can be seen at the upper right portion between your names and the move window. If your opponent accepts your offer, they will depress or click on the "Draw accepted" aspect on their screen and that's it...the next thing that happens is that a message comes up stating "Game ended by mutual consent of the Draw" or something to that effect.

This is for anyone who READS THIS POST: I am currently in a tournament where the difference between round 2 and round 3 was for one year. In other words, Round 1 took about 3 months; Round 2 has been over a year; Round 3 just started and I simply have lost any interest in participating. Therefore I've asked the other two players if they'd accept a draw from me.

Is there a punishment for not competing in Round 3? Meaning, do I incur loses that will affect my rating? It'd would be very nice if someone could return this message. Thanx in advance,
