Eliminating Cheater's Game

My opponent's account was closed for cheating but his game remains on my active list. How can it be removed? (And good riddance!)

I guess cheating can only be done in chess by using an engine, isn't that so?

Well, my question is: how can you find out whether your oponent is cheating?

I couldn't find out for sure, of course, but the powers that be certainly did. This guy was winning six or more games every day and limiting his opposition to low-rated players so that his ratings slowly climbed above 2100. A number of his "wins" were less than 15 moves, which made me suspect collusion. Anyway, he is gone and I would like his remains to be gone as well.

Well, if he's gone, you should win on time in short order. I think I've seen the staff's stance on cheaters as being that it would be impratical to remove all of their past games and their rating effects (seeing as all subsequant changes would also have been somewhat effected), so the game is probably here to stay.

Thanks for the tip. I will make a move!!

The detection software will usually flag a game if 100%, or so, of the moves agree with the top move selected by one of the popular engines.  Typically, someone has to report the abuse first.  And the specifics are kept secret by the staff, so this may not be the only method available to them.
