No, they use different systems
ELO in Chess and official ELO
Hello,
do you think that the ELO I obtained in Chess.com could be close to the official ELO? Are there the same calculation on it?
Thanks
Which of the two chess.com, Glicko based ratings are you talking about? 1659 for standard online games or 1186 for blitz games. Neither of these are currently rated by FIDE which uses the Elo rating system for classical time control OTB games. Whether either chess.com rating is close to what you would have by playing FIDE rated classical time control OTB games is not relevant. These are three different games. Monopoly, Scrabble and Twister.
In June 2012 you may have quarter of a leg to stand on when FIDE starts publishing ratings for rapid and blitz games.
