Yes, they have pinged your computer and detected a large lag of more than 2 seconds. They don't allow games to start when one side has such a large lag.

Perhaps you can reboot your computer, move to a place with a better wifi connection, shut down other applications that are using the internet, etc.

i have the same problem, but I don't know what to do.

DataJuggler

I have a super fast connection, so this has to be a bug on chess.com's part.

I think this has to do with recently I set Chrome to automatically delete cookies when I close the browser, because I never saw this error until today.

roshyj

I experienced the same issue, multiple times.  220 Mbps download/15Mbps upload speed, per network speed tests.  No other sites have any issue.  Looks like something is wrong with chess.com's servers.

There are a lot of things that can cause connection issues. Some of them are outside of the site's control or the control of the player.

Swirly1

Nonsense. This is all on chess.com. Bottomline , if you want to play 1 minute chess and not lag out, or get one of these messagess, than you are better off playing elsewhere. I suggest [another site -- VP]

I'm having same issue.  my internet connection is fine for other websites. this is a chess.com issue

`chess.,com has the bad habit of releasing beta versions that don't work.  I have an excellent internet connection and I can't connect to live games.  But I can connect to all the other types of games - computer, 4 player chess, etc.  chess.com needs an IT manager who understands governmance, alignment, and that the USERS of the system are what matters most, not the latest and greatest technical toy that some geeky software engineer thinks it would be cool to implement.  I have ZERO problem connecting to any other sites on the internet.  Period.

Anybody resolve this ? or it just for me this problem ? Your challenge cannot be created because of your internet connection. Please reconnect and try again.

dinoguy_1

Same problem here in New Jersey, USA.

Martin_Stahl

The current problem does seem to be a Live issue. Regarding to the OP,  that was as probably something else.

chess.com is now resetting the live server.   hope that fixes the problem.

CavalierEchecetMatAnthony

Same in Canada. Might be chess live equipment malfunctionning or denial of service attack.

It's good to see a lot of players commenting about the problem at the same time frame, it really shows that it's the site's problem.

It's not the sites problem. It's the players problem. You dont see anyone from the site complaining. In post #9 Swirly summed it up very well. There is indeed a solution that's guaranteed to work.

In this particular case, there is a problem. I saw problems with slow loading in Live as well and don't normally have issues.

CavalierEchecetMatAnthony

works now for me after server reset.

HariSeldonMX

Same problem here in Mexico, keep loosing connection while playing in chess.com. Y get the chrome message: "Your connection is not private". Could anyone give the proper/specific connection tunning options to fix this???
