The only thing which is worse than the fact that THEIR SERVERS are down is that they try to blame the customers internet connection. The "people" who are responsible for this should be sewed into human centipede!!!

It wouldn't be good business sense to blame themselves because then people would think there is something wrong with the product. Other chess sites have similar problems from time to time. But not nearly as often or as weird.

Hey all. We had a server issue today (again). This has been our worst week in history. But we FINALLY found the issue and should have it addressed now. I am so sorry. I have literally cried tears many times this week due to frustration and pain knowing that we are letting down our players. I am SO sorry. We are working hard to stabilize under this load, and I believe we made a major breakthrough today.
Will there be an official update when the issue is fixed? I love chess.com, but at the current state it is unusable for me. I hardly find time to play chess, and when I do I don't want to wait 10 minutes for the servers to be back online.
I'm really on the fence whether I should buy premium for a year. Please at least create a page where we can see if there are currently outages and when they are fixed (e.g. on Twitter).
I fully understand that creating a reliable product is hard, and I expect outages. I can live with that. Communicating issues and plans forward is easy tough. And failing in this regard is a dealbreaker for me.

Try this. Open your profile in another tab. For example, click on live chess. When that screen is displayed, right click on your chess name and open a new tab. Then, when you get disconnected during a game, you have a tab already open and you can click play.
The disconnect does not necessarily disconnect you from chess.com. It kicks you out of the game you're playing live. So with another tab already open, you don't have to log back into the server. Because you were never really disconnected in the first place.
This is a software error and most likely related to how the server is handling semaphores, which needs a low-level software program to fix. There's not a lot of coders out there who understand this scenario because they all got Microsoft certified and think they know something.
I always noticed this after playing numerous matches. The only answer I can come up with is Chess.com trying to force us to pay.

Or quit using dial-up and you wouldn't have the problem!

Note the country mate. Pretty sure no one in Canada had dial up for 20 years. Most of us have Gigabit Internet from Telus, including myself.

I found the solution .
Above there is an open game
Click on it and close the running game x
I'll be moving into your game.

Hey this same thing is afflicting me at the moment (and has been for several weeks). I've just been playing on Lichess instead, but would really like to come back to playing live chess here. There is really nothing at all wrong with my internet and I use it for streaming and other games all the time no problem. Did anyone ever figure out a decent solution to this or am I just kinda screwed?
