you're gonna get a pgn file. Surely Fritz manual would cover that?
Else dump Fritz and get the excellent free SCID together with a (few) strong, also free engines. You'll never buy chess software again, it's as good as any comercial package

Yeah... I get the pgn file as an attachment to an e-mail... It opens as text but I can't find any menu or dropdowns that offer an "import pgn file action. Nor does the manual (for Fritz) discuss importing or exporting ... just opening databases using internally generated content.
pgn files are basically text files. If it opens in a text editor for you, just copy all the text, then you should be able to paste it into Fritz. Works in 13, anyway.
Still no go. I tried to paste it into a database in Fritz, but there is no button for "paste" at that point. When you say "paste it into Fritz" where in Fritz do I paste it...? Were you able even to do this in Fritz 12 (assuming you had it?)
Thanks!
I'm using Fritz 13, so I don't know if it's the same, but probably. There is an option in the "Home" view called "Paste Game." It's a button on the top near the left. If it's in a different location in 12, you should take a look at the help (F1).
Glad to help. Analyzing in Fritz will be much more useful than using the chess.com computer.
For me pgn files are opening directly in chessbase, so I just click on them and it opens, then I chose "Go to Fritz," and the game appears. I guess I have .pgn file types associated with Chessbase, but I assume then can be associated with Fritz which would be even faster.
How can I export some of my games (archived) from Chess.com into Fritz 12 for analysis? The Fritz 12 manual did not help...
