Feedback on reports?

I was wondering if you will hear back from chess.com if you reported something (either a bug or a person). Does anyone know that?

If I don't hear back from a report I keep wondering if they saw it, or if something went wrong and the report didn't come through.

No, you don't normally get feedback, unless they need additional information.

Just for people who are curious: you do indeed hear back from them. I've just received a message that they've taken action on a report I submitted. They don't give information as to what that action was (warning, account closed, something else) or to which report it was to respect the privacy of the members.

I think this is a good thing. Theres probably also a lot of false reports so respecting privacy is important. Also it's good that I hear back from them, this way we know that they take reports seriously. Thank you Chess.com for keeping everything fair and fun! chesspawn.png

Yes, reporting a person will get a generic message if the account is actioned,. Bug reports don't normally get any reply.
