Friend's account closed? WHY??

Hello Chess.com,

A short time ago I was talking with a friend of mine in the notes page of several different groups. However after a few minutes of this, I received a message from another account similar to that of my friend's asking for help, his account has been closed! I soon found his original account and, sure enough, when I click the link to his page, "This member's account has been closed." The past few minutes we've been discussing this, trying to get some clue as to what he did wrong. I checked the list of members who have had their account closed for cheating, and found that his name was not on the list.

If anyone can provide advice as to what we should do, or if a staff member can tell us why his account was closed, your assistance would be greatly appreciated!
