Frustration with lessons

CowboyNoel

Once upon a time I was going through your lessons.  Many moons ago In came to one that asked you to find a subtle move made by a world class GM. After a lot of thought I made moves, the response was always-- this is not what the GM did. I asked for the hint.  It would only say to find the quiet move made by the GM. After a dozen or so guesses I gave up and have not even given joining Chess.com another thought since.

Evidently, that is untrue.

Get thee behind me troll.  I'm trying to point out an issue that should be addressed as I may not be the only one put off by a fruitless lesson.

I'm interested in continuing lessons nut not if it is a brick wall.

CowboyNoel

I have attempted 760 lessons.  Can anybody tell me how to find one that I did not finish?

sadkid2008

quit lessons and start practice

or use the african buffalo trick to get a much higher rating immediately, but I will only reveal it on request

You sounded like a jilted lover who has returned to the stage proclaiming his lack of interest.

If you want to know if anyone has edited or updated the lessons since 2010, the answer is no. If anything, they are worse because some of the features like key squares don't work in V3.

I've been doing a bunch of online tournaments lately and my rating has dropped about 200 points.  I am needing to find ideas to get better instead of worst.  Note-- I practice tactics everyday for at least an hour and study endgames at ChessTempo for 30 minutes or so 2 or 3 times a week. .

You are probably not using the african buffalo trick.

CowboyNoel

Okay what is the African Buffalo trick?

shivam2627

prepare endgames first
