Has there been

. . . a change in Live Chess this week??
  Up until this week, I've had absolutely no connection problems using FireFox in Live Chess. This week, I find I'm being disconnected/reconnection several times (the last game, 7 times!) in 4/0 games. Even more than the seconds lost with each disconnect is the disorientation and interference in my thought process which is somewhat iffy to begin with.   Is there something going on?

Nope, not in the last week or two.

 I'm not sure what's causing your problem, but firefox became useless for me after the last update, I had to switch back to internet explorer after years. I've noticed they have published a new update today, maybe it's fixed now.

I think it started around Monday or Tuesday.  At first I shrugged it off as a flakey connection on my end. I had rebooted to eliminate one possibility, but the problem actually got worse as the week went on. Today it was the very worst, but, then again, I just now played one game with only one disconnection/reconnection.

Maybe FireFox is at fault.  I guess it's even possible it updated without me being aware of it or even that my memory is faulty too.

it's our fault. looking into it. :( we're going to roll back some code on monday and see if that helps.

Well, I just played a game - I was disconnected/reconnected 6 times. sheesh.

yep. very very sorry. we need to roll-back some code, which will happen tomorrow.

I hope that's the problem. I guess we'll find out tomorrow!

ok. please play more and let me know! also, which browser and operating system do you use? does it feel "responsive" or laggy/sluggish?

     My Firefox 3.0 has been problematic lately, not just on this website.  They
have a new version, I need to upgrade.

I'm sorry to be so late replying, but I couldn't work in anymore games until now. I'm using Windows and the latest ver. of Firefox.  I played the game (yesterday) already mentioned with no discons. then i just played 2 games. the first one has no discons,  the second game, i had 1 disconnection. shrug.

i just played another game.  i disconnected 5 times.  it wasn't pretty.
