How cheaters block you from moving your pieces in 1/0 games?

I have seen it so many times here. Time gets down to low and you try to move your piece, and you can't. You try bunch of times and eventually it works, but you are 10 sec down and lost the game. is there anything to help in this case from my end? I know cheaters will cheat, but it would be nice to have an option here. Thanks

Your opponents can't impact your connection. The clients do not directly connect and all traffic is between the client and server.

What you are describing sounds like lag and disconnects. There are some things you can do to minimize issues.

Looks like cheats are allowed on chess.com.yes they can block you, this happens when a cheat is getting hints on Engine that automatically blocks you from playing then ultimately the timer puts you on auto resign

Is there anything one can do when that happens?

That is absolutely not true. Your connection to the server can't be impacted by your opponent.
