 First of all, I want to apologize for confusing the terms variable(expressed by a letter) and the term exponent (ex 2^2=4)(3^3=27). I haven't had a math review for 6 years and over 15 years prior to that. I have gotten a few things twisted around and forgotten some others.

I already gathered how and why the OP's rating had sank. I wasn't trying to perfectly display an algebraic formula to show the exact figures that pertained to his situation. I simply created a generic way of showing how the subtraction occurs.

For a minute you were reminding me of my 8th grade algrebra teacher. I couldn't stand wasting my time or my notebook paper, showing all of the ways to write the formula. I never thought doing so proved I knew it any better than if I only wrote it one way.

If I feel like showing my work as it pertains to this or more complicated mathematics, I would simply take some pictures of electrical conduit that I have installed. It requires the use of trigonometry, in order to figure out how it must be bent, cut and or threaded to fit in particular applications.

BTW,why did no one ding who wrote something like E=MC^2 ?  Atleast I was using figures that were calculable and credible for my variables...

I wouldn't waste my time arguing. I was helping you to understand my idiosyncrasies. I have memory problems. I can have a really good train of thought and some of it will do a disappearing act or perhaps worse, I get small facts confused, almost like dyslexia. In a thread I started, I used the spelling "mute" to try to say moot. I tend to interchange things like here and hear, not always catching it. I used to revel in altering my state of consciousness. I still pay the price for it from time to time, especially when I am in a hurry or distracted.

Sometimes I even will omit words out of statements or parts of words as I type. They end up making no sense. I didn't edit that post and wanted to add more to it. People give me crap all of the time when they question me about my actions. They usually seem more interested in getting to do it, than understanding why I did what I did. I guess thats why I seem defensive.
