How do I change the type of chess game in the play computer mode?

How do I change the type of chess game (std., chess 960, etc.) in the play computer mode?

Use the + to start a new game and change the Type there.

Where is the Focus Mode ?  Not available in new update.

If you mean in Play, it won't show if your browser window isn't large enough. You can enable/disable by hitting Z on your keyboard. You can also modify the browser zoom level to get it to show. 

I am using Safari (not Chrome) and I cannot find anything that gives me a path to the Focus Mode? ? ? ?

I am 87 yrs. old and this "stuff" is like brain surgery to me.   I appreciate your advice.  I am clicking on the  + key and nothing is happening.

Just to clarify, this topic was about playing the vs Computer bots and the + is to start a new game.

I have no idea what a computer bot is.  I just play others in direct games.  The previous Chess.com provided an icon (?) to go to Focus Mode, now I can find nothing to open an option for the Focus Mode?  Am I clear?

If you hover over the upper right of the board and don't see the icon for Focus Mode then the browser window is too small to display it. As mentioned, you can hit Z on your keyboard to enable/disable it or change your browser zoom level..

One other option is to enable the Always Use Focus Mode option in settings
