How to challenge players within a custom range in Live?

Hi,

Until a few years back, I was able to challenge players within a particular rating range. Now, I can't do that. Is it still possible to send a custom seek for a particular rating range in live chess? If so how?

What I mean is how to send a custom seek in a range which does not include my rating?

All seeks have to include your rating in the range and it had been that way for years.

Thanks Martin_Stahl. I know that is the default option for a few years. But, I was wondering whether there is some way I can send seek in a range which doesn't include my rating.

Also, in this 2015 thread, https://www.chess.com/forum/view/livechess/choose-opponents-rating notmtwain (second post) says that custom seek not including one's range can be sent. The link  shared in that post, https://www.chess.com/forum/view/livechess/new-logic-for-auto-pairing-and-seek-graph a 2014 thread might be the announcement for the change in the seek ratings. So, I thought there could be a not too obvious way to send a custom seek in a range not including my rating.

Also, in the android app of chess.com which I installed right now, I find that I can send custom seek of any range by just making my present rating as the lowest or highest boundary. That is if my rating is say 1400, I can send  a seek of say 1400 - 1499 or say 1333 - 1400; which is not possible in the web version while using my laptop.

So, why can't chess.com at least provide the seek settings in the android app in the web version as well?

There have been a lot of posts in the past and @erik wants all seeks to include the current rating -50 at the lowest end. The newest Android version requires rating -25. Not sure why the website doesn't use a slider mechanism as well and match on the low end.

Thanks @Martin_Stahl. In the Android app, I can send seeks with my rating at the lowest (or highest) end.  Even then, I was matched within +/25 rating of my rating, crossing the rating boundary I set. So, you are probably right about +/-25 rating boundary.
