For reporting a player, you should use the report option on their profile:
https://support.chess.com/en/articles/8562517-how-do-i-report-someone
While you can use the support tool for that, it's not the best way. You can get it to open a ticket but it won't do it directly. You should be able to get it to and if all else fails, try contact an agent after fully explaining the issue
i'm starting this topic because the first topic listed in 'help & support' is by a staff member named richard. he states we use the 'help' function at the bottom left of the screen, and then...
there is no help tab anymore.
i just tried to contact support and it was all ai. there doesn't seem to be a function to write a ticket (as we used to be told). the bot will respond, but it has no clue what i'm writing about. when it finally asked if i wanted to speak with a person, it told me to write down my issue!! again! i wrote, "now i have to repeat myself" and clicked return. before i was even able to be redundant, the bot stopped the chat.
so, i'm here looking for an answer. i would like to write-"hey, cc, you need to improve....." but i've been down that road many times before and no person with any authority gives a sh*t.
i reported a player nine days ago. here is what i wrote:
"hi. i'm in a tournament with *qwerty* and this player is WAY outside what were the rating parameters. when i looked as his/her past games, i see (s)he has won 47 of the last 48.
this is an incredible streak, so i kindly ask you check the games for cheat detection.
also, in my 15+ years here, i think i have asked cc to check on only two or three players for cheating. in those times i never received a response from staff. i hope this time will be different no matter your findings.
thanks."
staff, let me know what you have found.
