I understand but I also don't

Ok I guess because I couldn't chat during games with my friends (actual people I know personally) I just texted.

I guess that made it look like I am cheating. I was angry at first but I get it now. I definitely want to learn and that's good housekeeping.

But the problem I have, and I don't understand why, is that while I can now chat during games, I can't send simple messages with my account. And also, I just discovered that I cannot add or request any friends. I get a popup that says that I already sent a friend request. It happened once and I figured I did but forgot but now it's universal?!

All the other stuff like changing my profile picture and chatting in games works fine. I really don't care so much about messaging thru the site because I can chat during games and my son and my buddy drumpilot talk to me daily.

I just want to be able to add cool people from around the world as my friends to play chess with from time to time.

What do I need to do to fix whatever this is?
